JUST SO YOU KNOW

WE DEPEND ON YOUR

3 SEPARATE NEEDS

Different purposes and different tax rules, so we have 3 Separate “CAMPAIGNS”

(Separate campaign times, separate payment routes, separate pots of money)

ONLY TO KEEP THE LIGHTS ON

  • No dues to receive our emails, use our website and participate in our events, but your donations cover operating expenses like--
  • Fees for the company that hosts our website
  • Cost of flowers or a small donation to a specified charity when a brother passes to Chapter Eternal
  • Cost of liability insurance.
  • Fees for required corporate filings event-related costs and small incidental costs for supplies, postage, etc.
  • Donate thru our Website
  • Money held in our Bank Account
  • NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE

ONLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS

  • Only for Scholarship Grants (only for Kappa Gamma candidates and brothers, and our alumni offspring attending CPP) and Strategic Grants to CPP
  • Campaign at Year-End (Nov-Dec), but donate anytime
  • Donate through Sigma Nu Educational Foundation (SNEF)

ONLY FOR LEASING, OR SOMEDAY OWNING, AND MANAGING A HOUSE

  • We need a house where the Kappa Gamma Brothers can live, have meetings and hold events.
  • A fund was started over 30 years ago to someday own a fraternity house on or near the campus.
  • That money and new donations are held in a professionally managed investment account overseen by a new, separate nonprofit corporation, Sigma Nu Fraternity--Kappa Gamma Housing, Inc., with its own officers and board, all alumni members.
  • Campaign in late Spring (May-June), but donate anytime.
  • NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE
